Contact: Linda K. Harris

PHILADELPHIA (October 17, 2016) – Today, the fountain at Dilworth Park has been turned off for the season to begin installation of an expanded array of winter activities that include a third season of ice-skating at the Rothman Institute Ice Rink. The fountain and subsurface reservoir and pumps will be drained to prevent freezing and will remain dormant until next spring. The Dilworth Park Café, operated by Brûlée Catering, will remain open, but the Dilworth Park Air Grille, also managed by Brûlée, will close on Friday, October 21, at 4:00 p.m. to move into position to provide food and drink at the Rothman Institute Cabin re-opening along with the Rothman Ice Rink on Friday, November 11, Veterans Day, with a salute to American veterans.

Winter at Dilworth Park is presented by Rothman Institute, William Penn Foundation and through generous support from Subaru, Capital One, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Temple University and 6abc.
